  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil.
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  4. Place ribs on the tray, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 1½ hours until tender.
  5. Remove foil, brush ribs generously with BBQ sauce.
  6. Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until caramelized.
  7. Let ribs rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
Chef’s Tip: For extra smoky flavor, finish the ribs on a grill for 5–10 minutes after baking. Brush with more BBQ sauce just before serving.
